!! Welcome to the 22nd release from us over here at Tremolo Projects !!
It’s full of lush and woody synthesis that shifts gear – hitting an edge halfway through. The warm start of Sediment slowly meanders into the calm of Steam – gently propelled by the gentle whirring of a field recording of an ancient steam pump. Bay of Biscay adds some uncertainty but it is quickly passed through into Hiro – a track based around a beautiful field recording from the Hiroshima Peace Park.
Side B hits the rapids – Cities Live On Rivers revolves around an animated pub chat that slowly develops into a psych vibe jam before disintegrating into the raucous and dirty Decapod. The drums are left behind for the dark ambient Landing – an eerie combination of a vocalist rehearsing her voice and a miniature train running around a park. The cassette goes one step further, finishing with a looped field recording of a player in a park in Brighton eking out a casually smooth hook.
River is a journey. It’s based on the classic tale of the walk of purpose; from the quiet mountains, to fields, farms, passing through a city, being fed by activity, pollution, storm water, streams before eventually dissipating into the sea.
!! We hope you love it !!
